Do you love a good Manhattan? We Do!
The Manhattan was the most famous cocktails in the around 1880's.
Though The Manhattan may sound fancy, it is one of the most easiest drinks to make, with just three ingredients and a garnish to top it off.
You can either use Rye, which is spicier, and its edgier profile makes it a better choice, or Bourbon, making it a little bit sweeter. But really, any one will do. Add to it a sweet Vermouth and Angostura bitters to make it a perfect Manhattan.
Top it off with Sunset Whiskey's mini ice cubes for the perfect chill!
Ingredients
- 2 ounces of Rye or Bourbon
- 1 ounce sweet Vermouth
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Garnish - brandied cherry (or lemon twist)
Steps
- Add the whiskey, sweet vermouth, and bitters into a mixing glass with ice and stir (do not shake) until well-chilled.
- Strain the cocktail into a chilled glass.
- And finally garnish it with a brandied cherry (or a lemon twist).
